Allow us to formally introduce ourselves
We’re the Atlantic Canada Cruise Association (ACCA). We operate as Cruise Atlantic Canada and we’re a dynamic regional partnership between port, tourism and cruise ship interests in each of the four Atlantic provinces, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Parks Canada.
Our reason for being is simple, we’re here to share our beautiful cruise destinations and region with the rest of the world.

Mission
ACCA’s mission is to lead the strategic, responsible growth of cruise, showcasing the best of Atlantic Canada through business development, innovative marketing and destination stewardship.

Strategic Business Development and Innovative Marketing
- Proactively plan and strategically leverage familiarization (FAM) experiences
- Host an impactful 2025 CCNE Cruise Symposium that encompasses all of Atlantic Canada
- Leverage our brand through enhanced and strategically distributed marketing collateral
- Inspire travel and reservation agents to be ambassadors of Cruise Atlantic Canada
- Strategically allocate partnership funds to incentivize incremental cruise activity
- Continue to partner on developing and delivering exceptional networking events
- Continue to nurture our relationship with Cruise Canada New England (CCNE)
- Leverage our partnership with Cruise Newfoundland & Labrador to explore opportunities with Cruise Islands of the North Atlantic
Destination Stewardship
- Be champions of responsible cruise growth through engagement and partnerships within the destination and cruise industry
- Remain informed and engaged in information related to cruise safety and security, sustainability, and accessibility
- Tell the collective story about cruise in Atlantic Canada, including impact and responsible tourism
- Facilitate the development of a strategy for niche market cruise development (e.g. expedition, luxury)
Leading through Collaboration
- Develop a framework to effectively achieve ACCA priorities
- Enhance and leverage existing and new strategic partnerships, including CCNE and CLIA
- Enhance and strengthen internal communications, collaboration, and governance
- Strategically leverage digital technology

Here’s a bit more about the benefits of being part of the Cruise Atlantic Canada brand and a member of the Atlantic Canada Cruise Association (ACCA):
Website: Members in all categories, except General, will be listed on the Cruise Atlantic Canada website www.cruiseatlanticcanada.com with a hyperlink.
Familiarization Tours: Member tour operators and port/destination members of ACCA are part of an ACCA database for the purposes of familiarization tour opportunities as they arise.
Seatrade: Partner Ports will participate in the Seatrade Cruise Global (trade show, attendance at conference, not including travel expenses). Members of ACCA in all categories, except General, will have the opportunity for representation* at the ACCA pavilion. Numbers to be determined.
Sales Missions/Events: Members of ACCA in all levels, except General membership, will be invited to partner* in trade shows and extraordinary marketing events in which ACCA participates, such as the Seatrade Cruise Global.
Collateral/Marketing Material: Membership in ACCA in all categories, except General, will have exposure in marketing and collateral pieces as appropriate.
Industry Research: ACCA will from time-to-time conduct research such as the economic impact study. ACCA will collect data collected by ACCA partners for the purposes of sharing. The results of such research will be accessible through the Resource Library by members of ACCA.
Resource Library: Members have access to a resource library of research, industry information, and market trends and are also able to contribute to this library. This type of material is useful for development of business and marketing plans.
Committee Participation: Members of ACCA on all levels, except General membership, will be invited to participate on task forces and committees.
Education Opportunities: Members can access ACCA membership on cruise sector expertise through mentoring programs, educational workshops and information sharing discussion groups to become market ready or to aid in cruise sector growth potential.
*Partnership in some of these marketing opportunities may be provided at a membership discount, with a nominal fee set by the board.
And here’s what you’ll need to know about classification and the fees breakdown:
PARTNER PORT
- Fee schedule determined by Board
- Large ports in Atlantic Canada, fee based on number of cruise passengers, minimum 10,000
- Each Partner Port has an appointed representative to sit on the Board as a voting member
- Partner ports have access to all benefits accrued from being a member of ACCA
- Benefits under Partner Port Category:

- inclusion in the member directory listing
- access to market intelligence in the ACCA resource library
- ACCA educational opportunities
- ACCA Committee participation
- Use of Cruise Atlantic Canada logo on collateral approved by ACCA
ASSOCIATE (NICHE) PORT
- Fee $4,500 CAD
- A port with less than 10,000 annual passenger visits to their port
- Associate ports have one voting representative on the Board. The representative on the Board is nominated and voted by members

- Fee $9,220 CAD
- Federal, Provincial, or Municipal Government member
- There will be one voting board member per participating Province (can be Municipal or Provincial)

- Fee: $2,212 CAD
- Any interested stakeholder: tour operators, Tourism Industry Associations, DMO’s, Venues, Restaurants, Ports, Cruise lines etc.
- Industry/Association stakeholders have one voting representative on the Board - nominated and voted by members
- Benefits under this category:

- marketing opportunities (collateral/marketing material)
- includes single representation at ACCA trade show exhibitions
- access to market intelligence in the ACCA resource library
- ACCA committee participation

- Fee: $850 CAD
- Cities, Venues, Restaurants etc.
