New Shore Excursions in Charlottetown Proving To Be A Big Hit For Visiting Cruise Lines and Their Passengers

(Charlottetown, PE November 10, 2010)The Cruise industry is the fastest growing sector in Tourism and Charlottetown is no stranger to adapting to these emerging markets. In an effort to expand our Shore Excursion product Aquila Tours partnered with the Culinary Institute of Canada to offer the Seafood 101 Culinary Bootcamp. After just one visit, the shore excursion received such rave reviews from passengers that the Executive Chef onboard the ship decided to participate!

Betty MacMillan Recognized by Industry Peers for Achievements at American Association of Port Authorities’ with 2011 Cruise Award

Saint John (NB) – Saint John Port Authority employee Betty MacMillan was honored by her peers today for decades of work in the cruise industry. The awards are part of the annual American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) Cruise Seminar which is taking place in Miami over the next three days.

Cruise Industry Provided $89 Million in Direct Economic Impact to Atlantic Canada in 2010

Charlottetown, (PE), November 29, 2010 – Despite a challenging economic environment, 2010 has proven to be an extremely successful year for the Atlantic Canada cruise industry.
